On Word Files...

2:54 PM

After reading this article about a guy that went through and downloaded all of the MS Office docs with tracked changes in it, I immediately went and downloaded and installed the Office 2003/XP Add-in: Remove Hidden Data.

::sigh::

I pretty much have to use Word, as it's a standard for most of the publishers I work with (including, natch, O'Reilly). Pretty much everybody sends you a Word doc with a stylesheet that you have to use.

Got Firefox?

6:11 PM

Get Firefox

I use it every day on my Win32 box. If you're still putting up with pop-up windows and all of the security problems in IE... well, I'm sorry.

Reminder to self...

p6spy is a really neat tool for viewing exactly what's going on between your Java app and your relational database.

Oh, and IronGrid offers a nice GUI, among other things.
